"Building a Character for Animation" This video tutorial demonstrates how to take an illustration of a character and break it up and convert it into symbols so that it is ready to be animated. You'll be shown how to: Select, assemble, and repair body parts as they are converted to symbols Proper layering organization Correctly place pivot points for seemless integration between multiple symbols Know how to effectively fix problem areas that work in one pose, but not in another. You'll be shown two different ways to go about building your character: 1.) working from previously drawn and cleaned up art, and 2.) layering and constructing as you sketch your character in Flash. *This is NOT a drawing tutorial. This tutorial focuses on more of the technical aspects of Flash and properly and effectively setting up your character to be "animation-ready".
